“You and Me and Freedom”
I wrote “You and Me and Freedom” in the days immediately following the 9/11 tragedy. Unfortunately, I never recorded it. I feel it is finally time for me to share this with the world on the 15th anniversary of that tragedy.
I remember that day very well. My sister woke me up, saying I needed to turn the tv on and see what was going on. We were living in Boston at the time as college students. I was dumbfounded by what I saw. I couldn’t believe it.
The world changed that day. I feel as though humanity has still not recovered from that day. Looking at recent events, it will be a long time before we will experience a period of “long peace”.
I sincerely hope you enjoy these lyrics and I hope that I will get to record this song one day, so I can share the music I wrote to these words with you.
