OVERVIEW

Winter In Eden are a female fronted Gothic Symphonic Metal band. This EP is a very strong effort and we are really looking forward to their full length debut that is currently being recorded.

The EP is comprised of three songs. The tracks are very mellow. While the 2nd track has a bit more energy it is still quite mellow. We really hope the full length will feature up tempo tracks.

The vocals are very strong. The writing is very strong. The production of the EP is weak in the drum department. However, this EP gives a very good picture of what direction this band is headed for.

This was very enjoyable to listen to! Kudos to the band!

HIGHLIGHTS:

The vocals! They are very solid!

PLAY BY PLAY

Track 1 – Fate Will Oblige
Very nice ballad! With a bit more polish this one’s destined to be a hit.

Track 2 – At The Edge Of The World
This track had more of a power metal groove to it at the start. Nice track. Good vocals. Better production technique is definitely in order, but this recording gives a very good indication of direction.

Track 3 – Cry
There are some very Tori Amos-like moments. Very pretty melodies. Wonderful piano work. Again, the drum programming and production was the part that made this otherwise good recording sound amateurish.
