OVERVIEW

Hands is the debut album of British artist, Little Boots. This is a pop album that mixes many elements of different pop and dance styles together. I was totally surprised by the music in the sense that I didn’t find it overly annoying, as I usually do with this style of music.

There are some very good ideas musically in here. There is room for development in terms of compositional and arrangement skills, but most of the ideas work in their current form. Little Boots’ vocals are good. I would like to see an improvement in the compositional side of Little Boots’ material for her next release.

HIGHLIGHTS :

This track should not have made it on to the record.

Nice melody.

Track 11 – Hearts Collide
I couldn’t get into this track at all.

Track 12 – No Brakes
