OVERVIEW

Hoobastank is very easy to listen to but they can be borderline annoying at times. For(N)ever is their sixth studio full-length. It is clear that they know their niche and they’re comfortable in it. Their songs have very strong melodic content and are really catchy. As much as I cringe every time I use that word, there really is no other perfect word to describe this stuff.

Over all, this is a very solid effort. We enjoyed it.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Sick of Hanging On and Gone Gone Gone

PLAY BY PLAY

Track 1 – My Turn
This is a really cool and catchy song!

Track 2 – I Don’t Think I Love You
Cool track that kinda lingers somewhere between a mid-tempo rock song and a ballad.

Track 3 – So Close, So Far
Not as annoying as their big hit “The Reason” a few years back, but close. Very catchy though…

Track 4 – All About You
Fun up-tempo track.

Track 5 – The Letter
This is really close to being “The Reason” part 2.

Track 6 – Tears of Yesterday
Cool intro.

Track 7 – Sick of Hanging On
This song caught our attention. Why? Because it is different than what we’re used to hearing from Hoobastank! Cool track.

Track 8 – You’re the One
This should make teenager girls go crazy at the shows.

Track 9 – Who the Hell Am I?
Another song that has a catchy hook and easy melody.

Track 10 – You Need To Be Here
Another track that should drive teenage girls crazy at shows.

Track 11 – Gone Gone Gone
Very cool groove! Awesome guitar playing in this one.
