OVERVIEW

Fatal Impact are a metal band from Norway. They’re very melodic. We really enjoyed Law of Repulsion. The musicianship is awesome too. Lots of good grooves; however, these guys are bit too mellow to really be metal. There are lots of metal elements in the music, but I would classify them as a hard rock act.

The recording quality is awesome for a self released effort! Kudos to the band for that! That does set the bar really high for the next release though.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Lacerated Eyes Of Faith, Stone Cold Alive, Beyond The Never

PLAY BY PLAY

Track 1 – Lacerated Eyes Of Faith
Really melodic! A little like Fear Factory in spots with the digitized vocals.

Track 2 – Another Life
A powerful mellow track! Awesome.

Track 3 – Cellar Souls
We really liked the intro riff. Really mellow song.

Track 4 – Mother Rat
Very good uptempo track. This grooves more like a hard rock song, but the metal elements are there too.

Track 5 – Stone Cold Alive
This is a hard rock ballad. It’s a good song. It would have been a lot more effective a song at maybe half the length of what it is.

Track 6 – Gathering The Dead
Very good! We liked the shred in this one.

Track 7 – Beyond The Never
NICE! Really heavy for this album!

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Thanks to the band for sending in this CD!
