OVERVIEW:

This is the fourth studio release of DevilDriver. We REALLY enjoyed this album! Really, we did!  All the songs are really powerful and driving. Really good energy.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Pure Sincerity, Fate Stepped In, Another Night In London, I See Belief

PLAY BY PLAY

Track 1 – Pray For Villains
Cool!

Track 2 – Pure Sincerity
Very nice! Really cool use of double bass patterns here to spice things up.

Track 3 – Fate Stepped In
Wow! Really awesome breakdown.

Track 4 – Back With A Vengeance
Very cool groove in this one without sacrificing heaviness.

Track 5 – I’ve Been Sober
The energy is there, the musicianship is certainly there, but the riff was kinda repetitive and made us go meh.

Track 6 – Resurrection Blvd.
Too many notes! (just kidding) Too many arpeggios though. Otherwise good.

Track 7 – Forgiveness Is A Six Gun
Interesting.

Track 8 – Waiting For November
Do not let the mellow intro fool you, this is very heavy and awesome!

Track 9 – It’s In The Cards
Not bad.

Track 10 – Another Night In London
This grabbed our attention from the first bar! Good song.

Track 11 – Bitter Pill
Really cool track. Very different from the rest of the album.

Track 12 – Teach Me To Whisper
I don’t think they meant to really learn how to whisper. There’s nothing quiet about this song! It rawks!

Track 13 – I See Belief
AWESOME! Really loved the energy of this track.
