Update (August 2018)

The Unexpected Accident

Right at the start of summer, on June 9, 2018, to be exact, I broke my ankle in two places. This was supposed to be a summer of action and I had a long list of things I wanted to accomplish. However, I got operated on and they installed 9 screws permanently to fix the fractured ankle. BUMMER!

I lay in bed for most of the summer and thought about all the things I would not get to accomplish. Then I realized that I had taken walking for granted. Not that I should have, since this wasn’t the first time I had to wear a cast on my right foot. I had torn my ligaments, tendons, and nerves, in the same foot when I was in 5th or 6th grade. Miraculously, I had not managed to break a bone then. This time, was not as lucky.

But going back to the point I was trying to make, I had taken walking for granted. This led me to start thinking of all the other things I had taken for granted. I ended up spending most of the summer re-evaluating what my priorities are. (I won’t share that list here now. Maybe over the course of future blog posts.)

Autumn 2018

So, what does this coming fall (autumn) hold for me?

Well, first of all, rehab. Rehab in the form of learning how to walk again. Post Op doctor’s visits have been great! I am on the mend and everything is actually going well. So, there’s lots to be happy for.

I am reworking the Kitarakellari site and this site. I also got my MacBook Pro fixed and that means that I can finally start working on YouTube videos again. I owe the shop a ton of videos. So I will start there and that work flow should also mean lots of new videos for my channel as well.

Social Media and Chords of the Day

I realized also, over the summer, that I really like Instagram a lot. Facebook is something I use to monitor the Kitarakellari Facebook page, but I don’t really do much else on there. Twitter remains an enigma. I still can’t seem to crack it.

chords of the day

Chords of the Day will resume sometime this fall. I have been mulling over a few ideas on how to make this project more meaningful. I think I have a good idea for the new format. I won’t publish anything until I have worked out the actual work flow for the new format. However, I think I should have it up and running by the end of 2018. I’m really looking forward to getting this project going again. (Spoiler: It won’t be a daily post format like it was, nor will it be like CotD v.2 that didn’t really take off in 2017)
