OVERVIEW

Lisa Ekdahl is a veteran Swedish singer-songwriter. This is her latest offering. The album is a collection of  acoustically driven songs. Ms. Ekdahl’s voice is very nice and easy to listen to. The arrangements on this record are very good. We really enjoyed this album for the rich organic sounds and cute songs. Simple and real. This is a very good album and not very many people know how to do it like this anymore.

HIGHLIGHTS:

I’ll Be Around, One Life, Beautiful Boy

PLAY BY PLAY

Track 1 – Give Me That Slow Knowing Smile
The theme that is whistled in this song is very catchy. I found my self whistling along while writing this review. Cute song!

Track 2 – I Don’t Mind
Very nice song. Catchy.

Track 3 – I’ll Be Around
Sounds like a gospel song. Very cool. Awesome sax solo.

Track 4 – One Life
Beautiful!

Track 5 – The World Keeps Turning
I didn’t really like this song. It doesn’t have the same sparkle that the other tracks have.

Track 6 – Don’t Stop
Cute song.

Track 7 – When
Cute song.

Track 8 – Sing
Something about this song didn’t click with me.

Track 9 – Beautiful Boy
